Is ‘Clip-Mates’ always by Trifari?

This rhinestone dress pin is pretty clearly marked ‘Clip-mates’ and when I Google search ‘vintage rhinestone dress clip Clip-mates’ is popping up as a Trifari item. Idk if I can safely assume this is a Trifari piece? My concern is that ‘clip-mates’ was its own entity and may have made dress clips for other companies in addition to Trifari- though I’m not able to find ‘clip-mates’ associated with any other maker’s mark- only Trifari. I know the answer to this mystery is probably a well known fact among your experienced community...can anyone enlighten me?
