Sylvester22 posted a 1920's Rookwood Pottery Vase, 9days ago, that reminded of this Weller Pottery Burntwood Line Cabinet/Bud Vase, that I just got from the Flea Market a few weeks ago. So I thought I would post my little vase, so you could see how similar they are.
The Weller Pottery Burntwood Line, and the sister Line Claywood, were made in 1910, and were almost identical, except that Burntwood's pattern went continuously around the piece, where Claywood was broken into panels. I photographed it with a Wooden Tie Box, that has it's decorations burnt into the wood, something that was popular in the late 1800's-1920's, just to show where the Lines name could have came from! :^D
The Vase is 7 3/8" high, 2 3/4" at the widest, and the top is 1", with a 1/2" opening. The bottom is unmarked, and the line was often stained, to get the burnt wood look!
