Ceramic items is another of my favorite things to collect. This one has a story attached to it. I used to go to indoor fairs, and rent a table to sell different things. This time was vintage and artisan made sterling silver jewelry with natural quartz stones.
The day was long and slow, which usually means you get to know your neighbors and cover for each other while you go and have a look at what other people are offering. Often you can do trades, no money involved, so I exchanged two necklaces for this vintage Avon bowl, marked, and lovely with molded foliage decorations.
The fruits were from another estate auction, they are good quality finished pears and peaches, very heavy and hard as stone. I have no idea what the composition of the materiel is, but they were obviously molded with a finish and added color and stems.
It has been sitting on a kitchen shelf for 10 years. In the midst of my other unique dinnerware pieces.
Beautifully shaped fruit and gorgeous bowl, must look lovely in your kitchen
I can seee this here in my kitchen, such a lovely English bowl. The fruit are great!
The two peaches are incredibly lifelike. The bowl is beautiful.
