Beautiful antique mahogany chair found on the side of the road. Scroll work all the way around one leg had come off but was not broken and the fabric had pulled off the back (no rips just the square nails had come off). It’s actually quite comfortable but the burlap under the springs needs redone. Not sure what era or maker it comes from so if anyone knows anything about it I would welcome more information.

Looks Rococo revival or late 19th century to me. In Europe we'd call it Victorian. They made solid, high quality furniture at that time, so restore it and keep it for ever.

Thanks, it is a really solid piece and really doesn’t need much restoring from what I’ve already done, just need some burlap.

Why would someone put that beautiful chair out for disposal? It’s lovely, I would have taken it home too!! Well done!
