I LOVE your find. Here is a link regarding Charles Aadams you may find helpful: http://mentalfloss.com/article/27231/light-heart-dark-humor-man-behind-addams-family. The scarf would have been made some time in the 50s. Just a side note, by the age of 5 I was reading, when my mom visited the library I wandered off but discovered on the lowest shelf a large book of Aadams' cartoons. While I sat and waited for my mom I was entertained and, at the age of 75, still am. You have a treasure.

      Hi,
I own the red & black version of this Charles Addams scarf and I love it. I agree with the previous comment, this was made in the very early 1950s. Where did you get it? Did you stumble across it in a thrift store or has it been in your family for generations? either way you are very fortunate. I've been looking for the scarfs in the other colors for years.

You can see the splendid red, black, gray, and white example of the Addams scarf belonging to jjacobus here: https://attemptedbloggery.blogspot.com/2019/02/addams-family-scarf.html
I am eager to hear from anyone with more information about these scarves.

      Hi,
Have you decided to frame and hang this Charles Addams scarf? Or are you going to sell it? I couldn't tell from your post if this was being added to your collection. It certainly would look awesome hanging on a wall.

Hi, I'm Jair and I live in Mexico. I greatly admire the work of Charles Addams, but here it is very difficult to get his work or books. Is there any way you can sell me or give me a scan of this scarf? I will thank you with all my strength.

      Hi,
I've been buying Charles Addams stuff for YEARS and all I can tell you is that prices are all over the place. I've seen the same item sell a month apart and the second sale will be for a tenth of the price of the first sale, and I've seen another pair of items sell a month apart with the second sale being six time higher. The price differences weren't based on condition or the inclusion of the original box, just on random crazy bidders. I would would pay $100 for your scarf. There are probably crazy rich collectors who would pay much more. And I sure that there will be times when it wouldn't sell for more than $50. It really just depends on which of us crazies happens to be watching whichever platform you decide to sell it on. Good luck. Joel
