I had found this little Welz pitcher this spring and had been looking for the matching sugar bowl. Yesterday I came across the exact same Welz pattern bowl which I thought might be the sugar bowl but after I purchased it and brought it home, I realized that it was a little too big to be a set. Looking up other Welz sets, I also noticed that both the creamer and sugar were identical; no dimples like this bowl. Could this bowl be the base for a covered candy dish? The creamer measures 3 3/4" by 2 1/2" wide and the bowl measures 4" by 3 3/8". Both of them have almost identical decorations with white insides, green aventurine and a clear overlayer
Thank you Vinyl33rpm, hunterglee, welzebub and fortapache for the loves.
I'm pleased to see pieces in this striped Welz décor. I have a sugar bowl needing a jug but until now have never seen further examples of this décor!

Thank you sklo42! Do you think that this is a base for a candy dish? Thanks for the love to vetraio50, truthordare, Ivonne, Newfld, artfoot and IronLace
I think it could have been a lidded jar. In my examples the bases have simple cut rims with the lid fitting into the base.....as in the example below.

There are also Welz lidded jars with bases having four dimples.
