This is my late father-in-law's circa mid- to late-1940’s Disston D-23 Lightweight, straight back, 26” blade, 8 point crosscut saw. Its original handle was toast, but thanks to a friend who graciously hooked me up with a period-handle with medallion, I was able to save her for both the family as well as to honor my FIL.
