Because a lot of the research and work involved required translation and illustrations from some German articles, I managed to collect quite a biography, which intertwines several of the most successful glasswork families from the 1850 to 1950 century.

It was an arduous process, much information that had to be summarized enough that I could convey the important facts and keep an interesting flow going at the same time. After all, this was not a book, it was a short magazine article about glass.

Next All About Glass issue will be in January 2019.

Images represent 4 generations of relatives:

Joseph Schreiber - Multiple enterprise, multinational, including many glassworks, Vienna
Antonie Schreiber, daughter of Joseph, wife of Franz Welz (not shown), mother of Klara Welz (not shown), Bohemia
Gotlob Maria Karl Kralik Ritter Von Meyrswalden, son of Wilhelm Kralik, married to Klara Welz, with his son Joseph Kralik, Germany
Alfons and Seigfried Kralik Ritter Von Meyrswalden, younger brothers to Gotlob, Czechoslovakia
