One of my relatives was a naval officer and brought this souvenir back - probably from a voyage to The West Indies or The Mediterranean Sea - around 1860-1865. It's made of brass and painted terracotta. 45 cm in diameter. According to experts was it - in spite of its subject - made somewhere in Europe. But nobody has been able to say where. Do you know where it was made ?
Good chance that this is German. Johann Maresch used to make stuff like this.

No mark on the back?
Many thanks for your answer ! I think you're right. The only mark on the back is: 727. Does that make an identification ?
