I have this 11 1/2 by 10" frame used for a 1960 air tank inspection certificate for Mc Gann Bronze
It's a Hodge Air receiver found out it was a Photo Printing Frame by E. & H. T. Anthony Co.
I worked at Mc Gann Bronze in the 60's and have the Hodge Bronze Plaque that made the tank in the inspection report!!!
My Friends father that worked there til it closed in the 70's gave this stuff to him and he passed it along to me.
    It's gone full circle!!!
Any info on the frame? I'ts well made.

This was marketed as "Anthony's Patent Improved Printing Frame. Based on the dimensions, it probably held an 8 x 10 inch glass plate. In a darkroom, the photographer would place a glass plate or film negative onto a sheet of unexposed photographic paper and then load into the frame. It would then be exposed to light and brought back to the darkroom to develop the print. The round thing on the back is a tally-counter to keep track of the number of prints made. They were sold during the entire dry-plate technology era (late 1870s to early 1900s) which means they are common. Anthony's 1899 catalogue lists their 8 x 10 printing frame for $0.75 (about $22.85 adjusted for 2018). Anyhow, these make nifty picture frames to hang on walls.
