    Just received from my father I’m 36 and have admired it on his mother’s /my grandmothers table . The original owner is his fathers mother my great grandmother . Any information on maker or insight on age or origin - greatly appreciated - no markings . Glass globe lights up an is extremely heavy- top light also lights up both -lamp has two bulbs, each light bulb has separate switch.

      The glass globe is by Pairpoint and is called controled lines or controlled bubbles mainly. After the second world war when production was probably at its highest it was used for a lot of whimsical lamps, H.B. Hirsch for instance used them extensively for their small lamps. I have not seen this one before but the lamp it is part of were made in greater numbers after 1966. I would think this was made in the 1970's or later. The metalwork is beautiful and extremely well done !~
