I found these terracotta coloured figures on the local market this morning. I was with my sister, and we thought they looked like something we may have had as children, so maybe 1950's? They were pretty filthy, but they have cleaned up quite well. One has a chip and another a broken arm, but they were only 50p each! They are all marked Winscombe Pottery, Banwell, Som. (for Somerset), Made in England. I can't actually find any info about this pottery. There is a modern Banwell pottery in Weston-Super-Mare, but I don't think it's the same pottery. The only figures I can find like these were made by Goebel. I think they are very charming and nicely made.
Hello, I have 3 more of these if you would be interested.
