This dish is signed by Richard Ginori and marked "Grand Hotel Plaza Roma.
I am clueless as to when it was made and what it might have been designed to do. I looked like a nice soap dish that might have been in a hotel in Italy. That's my guess, what do you think? It measures like the size of a soap dish or spoon rest 4" wide & 6 1/4" long.

Do a internet search using the words on the back of the dish.

Gillian I tried that and found the glass company and I found a hotel in Rome but I still don't understand if it was something taken for the hotel or what type of dish it might be.
      Thanks.

Well, thanks again. I just didn't know if it should or should not be used as a soap dish in the future. It does not appear to be too important to use.

The dish measures 4" x 6 1/4" like the size of a soap dish or spoon rest, possibly.
