Lamp was chrome when found. Wife wanted to "girl up the room a little".
I have no idea where lamp came from.

Any stickers or labels? Around socket? Call these Flying Saucer Lamps, Dome Lamps . I would suggest getting the pink off if you can and return to chrome, it would be worth more original. Could be a Good High End Designer!! Look for ANY Labels and post them if You find one. Pic of bottom as well.

With Phil on this, never paint a vintage lamp or light, just leave as is. I looked for this one but could not find, if it were Vintage I think one would pop up but as Phil said being fairly newer so would be hard to find example as it's not really collectable at this time.

I found no labels, but found very similar lamps to be very expensive. Definitely an old lamp from 40s or 50s. I stumbled onto it at an estate sale 3 doors down and paid $10.00. If and when my wife wants to part with it, it can be returned to chrome. I used to agree with leaving antiques as found. With low antique prices and a seeming glut in inventory, why not make it yours?
