This one was almost free, so cheap it was! The clasp has been replaced and is a new, cheap addition. I used my magnet and the clasp stuck to it - but not the chain. I have a Mexican bracelet with the same construction. The little screws that hold all of the pieces together are identical. It is only a guess but I believe that because of the similarities with my bracelet it would be a good chance that this piece is Mexican as well. I hope that someone has a necklace with the original clasp and can help me solve the puzzle.

    Thanks for looking:)

I bet the original clasp to this is just like the one on your bracelet then. A lot of the time the thing that makes the clasp stick to a magnet is the spring inside, but I agree, this has been replaced. These clasps started being used in the 80's, from what I've read anyway! Nice piece tho.
