This is an antique Lenzkirch big wall clock that has an early serial number on the clock work. I included a receipt to verify the serial number and a chart to show two different opinions of when it was made based on the serial numbers. According to the Lenzkirch records, serial number 79873 dates this clock to the early 1850's between 1853-1854.
I purchased it from a lady who inherited several clocks from her uncle's estate. She didn't ever try to run the clocks and sold it "as is, not working" but it runs like a charm without any repairs. I have several antique clocks but this is now my affordable favorite.
It has been oiled since purchase.

sorry, but i think this clock is from much later than the 1850s. more like the 1930s-50s. just my opinion.

The serial number indicates that it is an early clock. Seee the chart and the receipt that I posted. They went out of business in 1933 and the serial numbers were much different at that time.
This one has a serial number of 79873 and I verified that number and compared it to the chart above.

"Lenzkirch was the oldest clock factory among the clock manufacturers in the Black Forest. Lenzkirch was originally founded by clock maker Eduard Hauser and Ignaz Schopperle, a mechanical organ maker. They began in 1849 in a small workshop in Lenzkirch, machining and finishing clock parts which would then be sent out to the clock makers for a final fit.
The factory dissolved in August, 1929, and operated until 1932 as a satellite company for Gebruder Junghans before it was sold to a beauty shop equipment manufacturer in 1933."
