For Fun - Four Estate Jewelry Auction Lots I Won - Good Surprises & Not So Good

This is the most fun type of lot to bid on and win, especially if there is not much competition. Some of these lots were worth it some were not, most had descriptions that were accurate and others did not.

My main focus was antique and vintage sterling silver jewelry, because I loved it, because I might find several pieces I wanted to add to my own collection, and resell the rest.

The 1st image was a mixed bag of periods and values from Williamsburg. The most interesting were those dark gray bangle bracelets, which I hoped were antique sterling silver. They were from Austria. The lady who owned this lot collected several of those rare bracelets and the auction house did not pay much attention to them. One of the best jewelry lots I ever got.

2nd was a more contemporary lot of sterling jewelry, there were quite a few nice pieces here, I was happy.

3rd was a lot from Florida, a mix of jewelry pieces in a lacquer box. Some marked costume jewelry of good quality, some vintage sterling, and some low value items, a few single earrings and missing stones. Not really worth it.

4th was a West Virginia estate lot, well presented, most of it sterling silver of a vintage period, this one was a little pricey, and they decided to send it all wrapped separately in a huge box that was very expensive considering the contents. Overall not a good deal for me in the end.
