Literally "farm fresh." Just found in an old trash heap at the back of a field in Missouri. Farmer dumped all of his old bottles in the back acres before he had trash service. Anyone know the age on the design?
I (sad to say getting to old) recognize this bottle. I don't know when they stopped them but i remember when I was about 10 my dad used to get these by the wooden case normally 24 to a case I am not sure the year they started but I remember these were in use in 1979. Cool to see. It would be worth more if you could get ahold of the wooden crate that they were sold in. Hope that helps a little.
Thanks for responding, wihunting! I'm sure I can come up with a crate. Antiques like that are a dime a dozen in Waynesville, MO. I wonder how many more of these are in the field. There is a MASSIVE pile of glass bottles out there. I retrieved about 50 old milk jugs as well. We'll see, gotta wait for it to cool down just a bit though.
I just talked with my Dad and he said these bottles were used toward the earlier 1970's and he also said the "10" "2" "4" were from Dr. Pepper thats these times during the day if you drank one at 10am 2pm and 4pm it would help you get Good luck hope you find some crates!!!!! Have to let me know what you all find my e-mail is wihunting at yahoo dot com Keith
