Clear chunky and squat vase by Schneider

Schneider is well known for his etched and layered vases. But I have a fondness for his later glass which through necessity had to be more economical to produce. When you have less you have to be more creative.
This particular example though small is quite chunky and way too heavy to toss across the room (if you go in for that sort of thing). The square bowl has lots of small bubbles, and tong marks can be seen where sections of glass were pulled and then tied around the bowl.
Schneider is etched into the base.
