Is there a way to authenticate Uriarte Talavera? Someone told me these are fake because Uriarte “always” bears the special seal or mark. The U with a Y on top. Any websites regarding this subject?

These are not fake - they are contemporary. Uriarte Talavera is still made today in Puebla using traditional methods. The YU mark you speak of, the initials 0f Ysauro Uriarte, was used from the mid-1920s through early-1990s when the family business was sold to a corporate entity.
Thank you Artfoot!
good info artfoot! i was recently trying to figure out the same thing.
Sorry to be so late to this thread. Actually, authentic contemporary Uriarte still carries the YU mark. I was just looking at some today.
