I purchased this Military blanket from a resale. They were selling it as a throw, but it's not just a "throw". This blanket took time and I wish I knew the owner. It was handmade in 1964 by a mom for her son. I am not certain of the Military branch, so if someone knows, please let me know.

Beautiful patriotic blanket, the eagle & crest is a fabulous design. The words could be TOJDC1964MOM, perhaps sewn in '64 for (or from) a soldier's mom, just a guess. Lovely post

Thanks Newfld, I adore this blanket. To know that a mom took time out to create this for her child touches my heart. I take this blanket with me to camp, road trips and use it at home on cool nights.

Thank you for the information Keramikos. I've added a fourth picture so you could see the back. I guess all of it could not have been made by hand, I just assumed. So once again, thanks!
