This little bald beauty was in a group of dolls that I won at an auction. I really don't know much about dolls, but lately I seem to be wanting to revisit my childhood. She is about 8" tall (I couldn't find my ruler when I needed it). I can't find any manufacturer's marks on her. I think she is a "walker" (is that the correct term?) as her head moves side to side when her legs are moved. She is made of what seems to be very light plastic and has sleep eyes. The red on her head is from a ribbon that was fused to it which I subsequently removed. Her shoes are molded to her feet and her clothing appears to be original to her as it fits well. Any information as to her age, manufacture, etc. would be greatly appreciated. As always, I am grateful to this group for their knowledge. Thanks!

These types of dolls were made to compete with the Vogue Ginny doll . Yours appears to one made by Virga with molded shoes . Dates from 1950's . But she should have hair . Some of these types of dolls were used as giveaways for like Palmolive soap ect . They inexpensive dolls of the era . Could not compete with the high quality of the Ginny doll.
