This is a print of Charles Meryon's, The Apse of Notre-Dame, Paris. This has a plate print, but I don't believe it's actually pressed from a plate. It's smaller than the original plated prints and the lines seem thicker and this is on a very thick, textured paper. I did, however, look at it through a 40X zoom magnifying glass and there are no pixels to be seen if it were printed from a printer and the lines do look to be ink on paper. I'm not sure what to think of this one and I'm no expert.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

It is a Etching, pressed from a Copper Plate. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Charles_Meryon,_The_Apse_of_Notre-Dame,_Paris,_1854_II.jpg

Most likely a Later State. Not a 1854 piece.

I hadn't seen these on eBay since I purchased this, until yesterday when I decided to look again. I saw two identical to mine in paper type and size and apparently they were pressed in the early 20th century. I saw one with a description on the back of the piece (probably on all of these similarly pressed pieces at one point) that said "Reproduced from the original etching by Charles Meryon." There was also a write up on Meryon as well. It's not extremely valuable, but still a nice piece. It was his masterpiece - but far removed from the original.
