inherited from my German. grzndmother

Hi, I have an E. Schmeckembecher cuckoo clock that I brought back from Germany from my grandmother who died in the
80's. it has a stamp on it saying "Gula". Patient #'s GM 1731483 17415884. Made in Germany 25. on the inside cover hand written is the number 48. It is a 3 weight system with 275 ET stamped on them. It is a chalet style with a water wheel on the side and one lone pine tree. It has the 2 doors with a man and bird. I had taken it to this place where the guy us supposed to repair cuckoo clocks to help me with the chains . He said it was bad and tried to offer me $50. I said no. Come to find out it wasnt bad. Eventually got it working myself. Can you tell a bit about it? Black Forest? Value? Year it was made? If I could send you a picture I would. Nothing missing. Oh it had a sticker on the outside back saying "Tiroler Holzhaker-Buab'N" with 201 also on the bottom corner of the sticker. I sure appreciate it since I've tried & tried and come up empty handed except nearly getting ripped off.
