While joker collectors primarily pursue classic jester-themed jokers, there are also jokers that are artsy but not limited to the classic themes. This is a selection of some of my preferred jokers that are in the artistic or artsy section of AmusedByJokersAmI.com.
The first three are by Banksy, the enigmatic popular world graffiti artist who last time I checked, was still unknown. An unknown great artist. Right out of the comic book worlds. Is his real name Jose, Mohammed, Ari, JeanPierre, or Mack? So far, nobody knows. Does anyone here know (No this is not the reason that this post is classified as a mystery. Keep reading)
The second pair feature a sort of bird and dragon. Both gorgeous. Can anyone help my identify them?
The third set of jokers features three jokers from (I believe but am not sure) a Spanish deck. I suspect that they are from a deck of cards from a Museum since they seem to feature art from three different artists. The first one is from a famous painting called Primerva by Boticelli. The middle one looks like its by Toulouse-Lautrek. I'm stumped by the third one. It's a mystery, help me identify it please! Also, anyone know anything about this deck?
The fourth image features one joker by Peter Wood, a transformation deck called Pips2000.
To see more about artistic jokers, there are around a hundred from my collection on display: https://www.amusedbyjokersami.com/2018/12/artistic-or-artsy-jokers.html
Collecting Jokers is a new one to me. Why not ! Whatever gets you through the nite.
