I have not been able to get out and hunt myself much so I've been counting on the "Ol Man" and I must say he is getting better:)
He picked this up at an estate sale last week. He said the family members had no idea who the artist is and how their great aunt got it. I have tried to do some research on the signature but have found nothing. Some of the pieces are signed L.J, Johnson and L.O.J. As you can see some of the drawings are Disney as well as pin-ups and even a lone ranger. If anyone can help me figure out who the artist is that would be great. Thanks.

Thanks Frosty21 for your comment. I knew that a few characters looked familiar I assume the artist that drew these is not Al Capp or the Disney guy, but he certainly had a talent! When you look at the drawings up close you can see they are hand drawn and colored, not pieces clipped from a magazine or comic.

Well. I say never assume you could be holding on to the real thing.I have found some very nice art in the bottom of a box or two.I looked on my list of artist's and found nothing more than I gave you. Good luck in the hunt.Frosty21!
