Hi, here's the pin that looks very like an old Boucher design. Here's the link to the Boucher pin https://www.google.com/search?biw=960&bih=619&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=exoRXLDRHcSS1fAPneWfiA4&q=boucher+bird+of+paradise+brooch&oq=boucher+bird+of+paradise+brooch&gs_l=img.3...101239.102634..104599...0.0..0.80.469.8......1....1..gws-wiz-img.......0.U2gVV6ZRAiE#imgrc=QOMvfOmahicBIM:
But the enamel doesn't have the Boucher shading. I looked for a D'Orlan bird of paradise pin but couldn't find one.
Super gorgeous exotic bird brooch Rachel! It is an excellent copy of Boucher's 1941 Swallow design, which came in two versions, the gold plated with rhinestones, and yours which has the enamel & rhinestones. After doing more online research, yours is most probably an unsigned vintage d'Orlan, as the same piece is featured on the antique website beginning with R, under bird of paradise brooches, wherein the owner states "acquired because it was similar in form to an early Boucher, might be unsigned d'Orlan as they re-made a number of Boucher designs." Wonderful find!
Hi,
I redid your link as yours was not live.

Hi, thanks! you are very good at researching. I think it says BETA on the back. I can't believe I missed that- poor eyesight....
Or maybe SETA??

You're very welcome Rachel, glad I was able to help. I have an illustrated book with most Boucher designs called American Costume Jewelry A thru M by Brunialti, then just keep plugging away at the ggl image search with different words & sometimes you get lucky and find yours. BTW your bird has really pretty holiday enamel colors, it's a real beauty - best Jenni
Thank you
