Year End Glass Collection Bonanza

The kind of collector who is not very disciplined, when I see something that appeals but does not belong with the rest of my Czech era glass, I get it anyway. Often it's a curiosity for the glass piece's decor and fabrication, others are the 'gotta have it' at first sight reaction.

I remember our member Anne Landers with admiration, who has sadly passed away since, telling me with no hesitation that I was not a true collector, because I made too many impulsive purchases to be serious, years ago.

So Happy Holidays for the next few weeks, to all our different types of collectors on Collectors Weekly, as we say in French - Vive La Difference!

1. and 2. The big red and white interior aventurine glass vase at 14 inches is German vintage, Joska from the 1980s maybe. I looked into this company and was surprised to find their glass stock highly influenced by the Bohemian glass of Kralik, in the applied flower and green glass style of vases from early 20th century.

3. A mix of early and later, different producers of Bohemian-Czech glass.

4. Some pieces that seem to be made by the same producer, but that orange glass spatter decor is a little odd man out.
