I couldn't resist this pretty crystal bead choker I saw in a charity shop this morning. The beads are arranged in a pretty design ,4 deep and the catch looks 50's to me. There is some glue on the thread near the catch, so I assume it's sticking a break up somehow.

Shimmering beauty
So unique and pretty! You are probably right about the time...40's - 50's. I know I've had some pieces for years and then one day, clear as if it had just been put there, I will see "JAPAN" but in the most obscure spot! (like on the very edge of it).

Beautiful necklace! I think you are spot on that it's 1950's. The beads are called "aurora borealis" (nothern light) Most beautiful.
