Hi there, this is my first time posting on this site, thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide in identifying this money clip. I was given it by a friend who didn't know anything about it. It is stamped on the back, and I have searched high and low to no avail to try to find the markings, and 5 hours later I am still looking! I really love this piece and am just looking for any general information on it. Thanks again for taking the time to check it out!
A sterling silver money clip, signed by the designer. It very good indeed. I think you have it up side down for you photos. Stamped Sterling, with a stamped signature of what I thinks is 'RBB'. Corrections are welcomed. I believe the symbol is a Hopi Native American tribe?
Welcome to CW!
It is very good.....
Thank you Gillian! I was trying to identify the bird, and your information was wonderful. I am really interested in the age of the clip. I was trying to search the markings but had no luck. What is your opinion on the era of the clip?
I also am very sorry for the upside down photos. I could not figure out how to turn them. I will try to edit them first and then upload and see if I can correct that.
Thank you again for taking the time to reply. I really appreciate it!
Hi KJ, welcome to CW! My thoughts are sandcasted navajo or Zuni? Early 70s. Symbol and hallmark? Try searching " Navajo Hallmarks" great French reference site . B
