Pretty silver and enamel vintage necklace. I saw it online together with a lot of newer jewelry, for 1 EUR a piece . I contacted the seller and not only was she visiting Bratislava the next day by coincidence, she was even willing to bring all her boxes of jewelry with her directly to where I was - can you imagine it? I went throught it quickly as I did not have much time, and warned her several times that some pieces are probably silver, but she asked for the same price anyway ("I will not wear it so what should I do with it")! So I ended with several pieces of jewelry and almost everything silver with semi-precious stones, for 10 EUR total. Christmas was probably in the air.
Every enamelled link is 2-sided: one necklace side is with black enamel , the other one with green enamel. The necklace is marked 925 for silver.
Then there is the makers mark : A 89 VI - is it maybe Italy?
Pretty and interesting piece. In my opinion it has seen some age. The design looks either deco, or deco-inspired. What do you think?
As for the makers mark, do you know who this might be?
I will be very thankful for your opinion on the piece, as always!
P.S. Merry Christmas!
