These belonged to my great, great, grandpa Jones. One is stamped with his name and the date, along with where he lived at the time. There is no metal or jeweler mark. I can't find any info about them online, so I was hoping maybe someone here would know more about them. Thank you!

Oops! Melrose, Iowa! I guess I thought it was more legible than it actually is in the picture. Unless you knew it was Iowa you probably wouldnt even notice the lightly stamped Ia. I apologize! I have never even heard of the sons of temperance. I just assumed Masons because my grandpas and some of my uncles on that side of the family were all Masons for as far back as I can remember. I'll have to read up on them, for sure. Thank you so much, keramikos. If you think of anything else let me know! Thanks for the love as well and also the love from Aura, fortapache, and blunderbuss2.

Holy cow! Thank you so much for all of that information, keramikos! I'm in Nebraska, approximately 30 minutes from the Iowa border. I've always heard it pronounced I- uh-wuh- and the Iowans are more commonly called Iowegians. I had honestly forgotten that I HAVE heard Iowa pronounced the other way. I'm pretty sure my great grandma used to say I-uh way. However, I should point out that she also refused to say K-Mart and called it K- Market instead, so maybe that's why I never paid much attention to the way she said I-uh-way. Interesting.
