SOC stood for Southern Oil Company of Savannah Ga. It began in 1950 by Norman McGee and ended with his death in 1979 when it was bought out by some Brits. We had seen the cool sign displayed at Rusty Cook place in Lubbock TX but never thought we'd ever find one available for our own collection until this Summer when this one appeared on Facebook and , of course, we bought it. I couldn't wait any longer and stood it in the snow today. I've dreamed of having this sign standing right where it is ever since we bought it. Thats what OCD looks like once again.! D this is what my 401K looks like. I think it's a lot prettier here than just numbers in some Stock portfolio being managed by someone who has no skin in the game.
