From my Mother's estate jewelry. I have two herringbone pieces that I will show. They are gold. photo's didn't take well.
    1. 23" 1/4" wide necklace on top of photos. Marked 14k made in Italy. There are marks that are worn off but it is very nice.
    2. This bracelet is the one that has me stumped. One side at the end is marked 826. The other end is marked made in Italy. Flip it over and one end near the clasp says 925. The other end has what looks like a fancy letter D inside a circle. Does this mean the herringbone is 20k and the end clips are sterling silver? Very confusing. They are both vintage items.

Seems the clasps might have been replaced, used from other jewelry pieces, these are typical Italian style sterling silver chains popular 1980-90s and later. The lobster clasps also date to this time period. You can see they don't fit quite right, and the jump rings have been opened and closed.

The gold 14K content may have been for another type of mixed sterling silver and gold metal on the same piece. I have one of these, with the 2 marks. Thanks for posting.
