Bottlefly
(59 items)
An unmarked medicine that was almost certainly a reject. It is extremely crude. The glass was likely blown into a cold mold causing the bottle to have the very rough texture and resulting poor details of the gradation markings that are typically found on many medicines indicating the dosage amount.
Nice "whittle" and colour.
It has the graduations, though? How very odd. It looks either pre-1890s or non-American, neither of which usually have graduated markings.
SpiritBear,
I’ve uploaded some new pictures trying to show the measuring lines. There is a seam running dead center and evenly spaced horizontal lines that intersect it. I’ve also included a picture of the back side. Obviously, Hopefully, you can see the lines...perhaps it’s just me as a pattern seeking animal imagining it amongst the whittle and glass distortion.
