"Battleship Texas" printed on one side and "For old Butt's and Ashes" printed on the opposite side. This is an old ashtray souvenir from the Battleship Texas located East of Houston in LaPorte, Texas at the San Jacinto Battlegrounds.
The USS Texas (BB-35) was commissioned in 1914 and decommissioned in 1948, serving in both World Wars 1 & 2.

I would love to see the USS Texas. It is the only dreadnaught battleship left in the world. All the others are fast battleships from WWII.

It's terrible to admit but I live less than an hours drive from it and it's been about 40 years since I've gone to see it.
