    Though I don’t have a big collection of these advertising mirrors (and the ones shown are not actually in my collection), I just like them because they’re fun, and they give you a sense of what marketing pitches small businesspeople thought would work back then (and they were probably right). Simple, highlighting simple benefits, funny, amateurish (by today’s super bowl ad standards. It also takes you back to a time when most businesses were local – no global supply chains and corporate headquarters! The Boston Herald one I especially like. You don’t see much old newspaper advertising in general, and when you do, its usually for the Boston Globe, not the Herald!
