The decorative wall plate appears to be one of a valkry or an amazon with a spear. Deep blue background with gold detail. The back show shows the Richard Ginori signature as well as that of Gio Ponti, along with what is perhaps a sequence number for a limited series.

Retrieved from my great aunt's house in 2003 upon her passing. She had it for years, and traveled to Europe in her retirement as well as serving in Italy during WW II. Unknown when or where she acquired this piece. Wondering if it is real Gio Ponti or something else as we have not seen this style plate in this color anywhere.

From what you said and from your pictures, I believe this is an original Gio Ponti plate from the Venatoria series, the model is l'amazzone con il giavellotto (the amazon with the javelin). Philippe, France

So an ex-girlfriend of mine works in the museum field. She was kind enough to hook me up with a colleague who works in appraisals, etc...

He confirmed that this is likely an authentic plate from around 1928, of the model capitanflam69 mentioned.
