It loolike it's an original. I am renovating a home I bought and this is in it and doesn't match my new decor. Was wondering if it's an antique and worth something or should I trash it.

I have a Tiffany book and I browsed through it but I can't find the one in the picture. Here is one way to find out if what you have is genuine>>>

Identify lamps in Tiffany's Favrile group by finding the metal tag on the inside of the shade. Look on the rim and in the metal work that holds the glass. Look for the initials L.C.T or the word "Favrile," "Tiffany Studies N.Y." or "Louis C. Tiffany Favrile."

Let us know what you find out.

Since I can't read the signature on your third picture...you can tell us.

      It says Meyda Tiffany.
The designs were "inspired by Tiffany designs"--not the same as Tiffany.
Just Google the name and you will see many designs with prices.

Meyda family roots date back to supplying original lighting designs to Tiffany Studios in New York City during the early 1900s. Even if not a genuine Tiffany (if that is the case) you have a gorgeous piece that you can sell (which what I will do) rather than keeping it.

Modern light with no connection to the well known Tiffany company.

While it certainly does look nice, quality and style shows it is just a decorative piece with minimal value.

Agreeing w/scottvez, while not an unpleasant fixture in the least, I'd think "Toffany" is probably a much more likely maker's name than "Tiffany" leastwhiles as concerning the famous antique stained glass name...sorry, it probably ain't that. Please don't throw it in the trash though -- if you don't wanna keep it, somebody else somewhere might want to -- donate it to Goodwill (etc) instead and give one of us (potential collectors) a chance...? <LOL>

"Meyda Tiffany" is a modern lighting company.
