I have found out about this one and to me it was very unusual . I was unaware of a 'jetton' and the value they can hold so I thought I would share it with you. I am presuming they were used as a substitute for cash but I am sure keramikos will let me know. That's day 2 over now, off to bed it's just past midnight here. Neil

Canada before confederation issue hundreds of “jetons” in lower (French Canada) and “tokens” in upper (English Canada). Many of the early banks issued them as currency.
