Here is a nice little Gondola dish with a Platinum leaf scene on the inside depicting a Gondola on the Bay. Judging from the paper label this piece was most likely produced in the 40's. Pauly & co was a high-end retail company with roots going back to the 1800's. They contracted with the glass masters in Murano for high end pieces. Archimede Seguso did work for Pauly & co. Pauly & co was probably most famous for their spectacular chandeliers.

Nice find! Don't you just love that most people don't know that much of this work is platinum? I have some dinner plates that have just a rim of platinum and those go for 100 a pop!
Thanks Shareurpassion. I definitely learned a lot about Pauly & co after finding this piece. The platinum thing is part of what made Pauly such a high-end company. Have you posted your plates on C.W? Thanks for recognizing the coolness.
