The enamel is great offset by the green eyes! Not very familiar with Atwood and Sawyer.
Portrays motion so beautifully !~
He looks like an impala- they have such elegant slender bodies and large horns- his horns look like streaming ribbons and his pose makes it look like he's leaping through tall Savannah grasses- possibly from a lion who likes the look of him! :P
lol as soon as I saw this ....Chevy Impala pop in my head ...cool brooch Jenni
Thanks MrsT for the great compliment, I have a few other pieces by this designer they usually are quite colorful
Aw Eileen, that's really kind, I have some flawed pieces especially the oldies and may I return the compliment that YOURS are in top notch condition, look at your early 50s Kramer set it's phenomenal! Thank you so much for the kind praise for this antelope, I just recently found it and said yay, a different animal for a change!
Lauren it pleases me very much to show you a new animal, I love to hear your delightful take on them! You are absolutely right, it could be a sleek impala or oryx (just saw an animal doc'y on TV at a zoo with an oryx herd or would not know about that variety either), and yes I love to see these graceful animals run and can't believe a lion can catch them, sadly they do. See, Eileen (MsCrystalShip) loves your imagination too, it's Great!
Roycroft, I do remember the icon for the Chevy Impala and this does look like it, you're right! I like both the animal AND that car, which my grandad drove in the sixties, dark blue with cream interior, and he always played instrumental stuff like Mantovani (he drove all the time, back & forth to Canada on business). Thanks for the super comment!
Thanks Mary, it is a sleek looking animal, I am so glad you liked it and appreciate the great compliment. Will have to dig out more of my Attwood & Sawyer animals you'll like them

Phil thank you for the kind words as well, it does portray motion so well you are on target as always. I try to respond in order but forgive me this morning, it's early here :(
There's a lot of design in this impala Jenni. As Eileen says, clicking on the photos shows such great detail. The enamel, and the graded stones along it's back. Cool subject too.
Thanks so much Karen for the super comment & luv, the piece does have nice detailing, and I was glad to find one in the red & black enamel as it also came in a rather dull brown color, always appreciate your kind praise
