Found This Wicker Purse @ the Goodwill for $3.00, I think it's Asian

Wondering if this was a good deal, found @ good will for $2.99. Its in pretty good shape, maybe late 60's to early 70's? Can anyone help me figure out the mystery?
Not sure if it's a purse or a regular basket.
