I had believed that this décor was unattributed. Today I was surprised to come across a post which attributed the décor to Welz, which, if correct. would please me a lot. My reservations come from the vertical lines seen in image three. Usually, on Welz pieces, these would feel raised, rather like ribs. These don't and I can get my hand inside right down to the base! On the base you can see some of these white lines starting from the centre, which is what you would see on a Welz Vertical Lines piece.........

I'd be very interested in comments. Perhaps there's a technical explanation for this, of which I'm completely unaware...........

I'm afraid,I can't add anything more in a comment, except that this is something entirely new for me and unusual.

But welcome anyway and as you say unusual. Happy New Year, if somewhat belated.

I love this example. These are great looking pieces, and as you know I own one, and have for almost 4 years. I am not of the opinion (currently at least), that these are Welz production.

Nor am I, would love to attribute them to welz but the shapes are in a unique style. To move in that direction I would love to see:
1 - one of the shapes seen in the post having a typical Welz decor
      2 - a piece with a signature
3 - one of these zipper decors found in a common Welz shape

      - lines (optic lines) in a piece could have been created by many companies by use of a mold

      - colors that are matching Welz pieces may also match many other companies

I agree. I have looked for a way to link my piece to them for about 4 years.... unsuccessfully I would add.....

Jericho, I commented on your other post on similar decors. I find these dazzling. However, if you think sklo's example is not (yet) Welz, why are the others listed under the title of Welz? Have I missed something?

Wow22..... it's got me puzzled too!

I have 10 zipper designations (groups) please be patient there are more to come. This piece is a beautiful piece (I bought it’s pair) but I consider the maker unknown- three reasons listed above. Maybe you are looking at all the zipper posts as related somehow- they are not. If you send me an email of any zipper piece I will gladly provide all related shapes I have glad to have a second opinion

      Closely matches this group

Thank you for the clarification, jericho. I'll certainly be reading and looking at details more closely in future. To boot the link above includes a confetti piece I own but didn't notice when you posted the group originally.......
