Yes this is a mandatory Matchbox Monday so everyone has to run out and find a Matchbox vehicle. Good luck everyone.
The Hay Trailer was released in 1967 along with the color matching MB 39 Ford Tractor released at the same time seen in photo #2. it was sold from 1967 through 1970. As it could not be adapted to Superfast wheels it went extinct after 1970.
This is a generic vehicle so I fear there is not much to say about it. But it can be used with other vehicles. Personally I think the color matching between this and Ford Tractor is a bit contrived but it works. As a grown up I realize this combination is unlikely but would work for a kid.
I matched it with a few other vehicles such as the John Deere tractor and a pair of Mercedes trucks that can also tow it. Perhaps it is more of a mundane Matchbox Monday but it nice for the other vehicles to have something to tow.

It may seemed contrived, like a lot of toys, but I love matching or accenting colors in sets. Especially when these beautiful Matchbox colors are used. Toymakers have a broad sweeping poetic license. Accuracy, realism, etc. are great, but mainly it's got to look cool to the kids. Love these Matchbox colors, again!
Indeed you are quite right Toyrebel.. See you in a few days.
Be careful of the nasty weather.
Toyrebel I cancelled my trip. More stuff coming up on the weekend.
