    Bodypainte…

This quirky little "thing" has me puzzled. It is 4cm long. Not hollow. Metal. It appears that the shaft has been cast in a die, by the ridges down the sides and on the end. We found it in a box of lego at an Auction. But think it is unrelated. It has a distinct smell and taste of metal. Any ideas wise people ?

Is that a small protrusion on the tip?
If so, that my wind something.
My first thought was that I could be a key for turning on a gas fireplace.

Yes there is a small protrusion on the end but i think its from a die cast. It's off to one side and quite rough. Given the size i dont think its for a gas fireplace. Im leaning more towards some kind of stop pin ???
