As you know I got a nice lot of old costume jewelry sold at a private estate auction for my Christmas present this year. Had much fun examining, polishing, identifying with a loupe, and categorising.
My conclusion was that I did well, due to a few pieces, a rolled gold antique bangles, an Art Deco Gruen watch, and a few other bits.
This bangle is made with a white metal compound that has acquired some surface erosion over time, the surface is rough in spite of polishing, but it does have it's original safety chain, and is marked with the WHITING & DAVIES MESH BAGS logo. Possibly dating 30-40s.
