I like these and particularly the ones with scenery. This is a particularly nice one as it has fine enamelling which is still in excellent condition. The bowl has frosted sides and a clear base. The lid has clear sides and a frosted top.
I'm adding a link to another which must have come from the same maker.......which continues to be unknown! The shape is different, as is the scene on the hinged lid, but the similarities in style leave no doubt.
Diameter 13 cm./5 inches

I love those old-fashioned gadgets. They usually have a formulaic painting but this one is much more elaborated
Yes, Ivonne, it is. The background is flat (painted) then the rest is enamelled. You don't come across them often!
This is sweet...I had one of these with coralene flowers but sold it a few years back. You don't see them around often...
Indeed, IronLace, they are few and far between.....not scenery, not in good condition or too pricey for a sideline! Hope you are well......
Yes, I'm doing well at last, thanks so much for asking! Have just found out that I'm a finalist in a prestigious art prize today so thrilled about that...
Hope the New Year brings you many lovely finds...myself, I can't wait to get back in the swing of going to markets & fairs (the silly season, as we call it here, brings most of that to a halt) & that some extra funds coming my way in the near future can be invested in more fabulous glass, among other things...
Congrats and Good Fortune in the final. Great to hear all your good news at this point, in this country!
