The Leviton signature is upsidedown with a stripped screw causing the tilt. It's quite heavy for its size with no other signature on it. The power cord is NOT modern. Any idea if it's all original but without the shade? Or what shade belongs to her?
I would say that this was originally a Sears Composite Oil Lamp font that was converted with an electric conversion. The conversion was made to screw into the top of the font and allowed the electricity access to the top of the lamp without drilling the glass and damaging the original oil lamp font. The font should still be usable as an oil lamp if you have the burner and chimney to screw into the top of the font.
The Leviton mark only refers to the rhe light piece where the light is a light socket. These lamp parts (referring to the socket the bulb is screwed on) are used on all lamps and have been used for decades, So Leviton means nothing in reference to the lamp !!
