This purchase was based on the decor, which seemed to match one of those tall pedestal Ruckl vases. There are very few other pieces in the same decor as these vases, there is about 5 decors you can consistently find these vases in, but rarely the same decor on something else.
The only exception is the opaque red with the green spatter base, which was made by Kralik in a large fan shape (see another of my post's) and another smaller vase shape. After several years of looking, I am becoming less convinced these vases are Ruckl, and have tried to find out who and why they were attributed to them.
This last jar example in pale blue whit e and pink spatter and pressed sides with a cobalt spatter base is not the same color or application treatment as the vase. Kralik also does have this decor with dark pulls in vases, and jars with lobs. The only difference with my jar is the size, as you can see in image 4 with my ruler, it is quite large at 6 inches by 5 inches with a bigger open rim. Not marked.
This post also points out that I question and challenge all the Czech glass attributed or not. The old enquirer cliche applies here. So, if anybody has some background information about this series of big vases by 'Ruckl', I would love to hear it.
